A company which develops and manages market-rate and affordable multi-family housing communities engaged Stunsl to provide accounting software implementation services, improve accounting and business processes, and revive a stalled custom software development project by supplanting an existing development firm. A complete web-based custom property management system was developed covering the entire tenant life cycle including prospect, application, approval, move in/out, lease renewal and billing/collections. 

 

Because of the distributed nature of the properties, document management was a challenge. An electronic document management system was developed to handle the documents associated with property management as well as procurement documents and invoices. This has eliminated the physical movement of documents, provided centralized secure storage of items while allowing distributed access, and tremendously reduced storage space and the time to process transactions. In addition to simple storage and retrieval of documents, the system included a comprehensive set of customizable workflow routing including multiple approval and review stages. In the case of invoice and procurement documents, the system included coding and interfacing with the company’s accounting/ERP system.
